Project
Future Solutions worked closely with Ransom Brothers to upgrade their Unix server and BASIS Pro/5 AddOnSoftware system to version 6.0.x—modernizing their operations management and data systems. The project also included designing and implementing a robust network infrastructure that connected all workstations, terminals, and printers across the facility. A key feature of this upgrade was the installation of a dedicated direct Wi-Fi bridge linking the main building to the lumber yard trailer across the street, ensuring uninterrupted access to servers and the internet. Additionally, Future Solutions established a dedicated T1 link between the Ramona headquarters and their pilot facility in National City, enabling secure private data and internet access between locations. Later, Future Solutions also developed a new company website highlighting store information, True Value products, services, and career opportunities.

The infrastructure upgrades provided seamless communication across facilities, reliable access to business systems, and improved workflow for both retail and yard staff.
